Hello hello!
Maybe you noticed and maybe you didn’t but here we go - aster + abode has taken her leave. The feeling is the same, I’m all about home being your people and that’s who I photograph - your home!
Why the change?
If you’ve been here for a while, you may notice something new around here.
aster + abode photography is now Stephanie Collin Photography.
This rebrand is a natural evolution of both my work and my life — and while the name has changed, the heart behind the work remains exactly the same.
Why the change?
When I first created aster + abode, it reflected the season I was in (and what I was longing for): a love for home, connection, and the beauty found in everyday life. Over the years, my work has grown alongside my family, my experience, and the people I photograph.
As my style and approach became more refined, I felt called to bring my own name forward, not to change what I offer, but to more clearly stand behind it.
Stephanie Collin Photography reflects a more personal, grounded connection to my work while still honouring the foundation built through aster + abode photography.
Photography to me is an extension of what is important to me. Because of that I attract my client (you!) who feels the same way I do: family is our home.

Candid, unposed moments
Lived-in homes and meaningful spaces
Slow, thoughtful sessions that feel calm and natural
The experience, the approach, and the care behind every session have not changed; only the name has.
Clients weren’t sure what my name was!
I had a few sessions, mainly Petites, with families who weren’t sure what my name was. What a wake up call! That’s what cemented it for me.
Now, I do prefer “Steph” over “Stephanie” but either works because hey, it’s my name.
